Land grading is not just for big development projects. Generally speaking, grading land refers to cutting away, moving and placing soil. Typically this is done to make relatively rough terrain more suitable for building construction, landscaping, driveways or roads. More specifically, changing the contours, rises and dips of a parcel of land is usually done to achieve one or more of the following objectives:
